Telecom Operator Reliance Jio has upgraded most of its existing recharge plans and will soon be introducing new plans with more benefits, according to a company source. Jio's revised recharge plans will come under Jio's 'Happy New Year 2018' offer and will be available for subscribers from Tuesday i.e. 9 January, 2018, added the source. Jio's existing prepaid recharge plans that offer 1GB data per day (like Rs. 309, Rs. 399, Rs. 459, Rs. 499 and other plans) will soon be enhanced with two additional offers. These prepaid recharge plans will either offer more data or get a price cut of Rs. 50, said the source. 

Here's a comprehensive list of Jio's updated recharge plans that will be available from Tuesday(02-01-2018):

Jio Rs. 199 prepaid recharge plan will change to Rs. 149:

Jio's Rs. 199 prepaid plan will be available at Rs. 149 after getting a price cut of Rs. 50. This means what Jio was offering at Rs. 199 prepaid recharge plan will now be available at Rs. 149 only. Under this offer, customers will get 28GBs of 4G data with a daily cap of 1GB data. The validity of this plan will be 28 days. Unlimited local, STD, roaming voice calls and SMS benefits will be available with this prepaid recharge plan.

Jio Rs. 399 prepaid recharge plan will change to Rs. 349

Jio's Rs. 399 prepaid plan will be available at Rs. 349 after getting a price cut of Rs. 50. This means what Jio was offering at Rs. 399 prepaid recharge plan will now be available at Rs. 349 only. Under this offer, customers will get 70GB of 4G data with a daily cap of 1GB data. The validity of this plan will be 70 days. Unlimited local, STD, roaming voice calls and SMS benefits will be available with this prepaid recharge plan.

Jio Rs. 459 prepaid recharge plan will change to Rs. 399

Jio's Rs. 459 prepaid plan will be available at Rs. 399 after getting a price cut of Rs. 50. This means what Jio was offering at Rs. 459 prepaid recharge plan will now be available at Rs. 399 only. Under this offer, customers will get 84GB of 4G data with a daily cap of 1GB data. The validity of this plan will be 84 days. Unlimited local, STD, roaming voice calls and SMS benefits will be available with this prepaid recharge plan.

Jio Rs. 499 prepaid recharge plan will change to Rs. 449

Jio's Rs. 499 prepaid plan will be available at Rs. 459 after getting a price cut of Rs. 50. This means what Jio was offering at Rs. 499 prepaid recharge plan will now be available at Rs. 459 only. Under this offer, customers will get 91 GBs of 4G data with a daily cap of 1GB data. The validity of this plan will be 91 days. Unlimited local, STD, roaming voice calls and SMS benefits will be available with this prepaid recharge plan.

Jio new prepaid recharge plans priced at Rs. 198, Rs. 398, Rs. 448, Rs. 498:

Jio will also soon be revising its existing Rs. 198, Rs. 398, Rs. 448 and Rs. 498 prepaid recharge plans to offer 50 per cent more data at the same price, said the source. These prepaid recharge plans currently offer 1GB of data per day, but after the revision, it will offer 1.5GB of data daily at the same price.

Jio's Rs. 198 prepaid recharge plan currently offers 28GBs of 4G data for 28days but after the update this prepaid recharge plan will offer 42GBs of data for 28 days. Earlier Jio offered daily limit of 1GB data under this plan, but after the revision, it will offer 1.5GB data.

Jio Rs. 398 prepaid recharge plan

Jio's Rs. 398 prepaid recharge plan currently offers 70 GBs of 4G data for 70 days but after the update this prepaid recharge plan will offer 105 GBs of data for 70 days. Earlier Jio offered daily limit of 1GB data under this plan, but after the revision, it will offer 1.5GB data.

Jio Rs. 448 prepaid recharge plan

Jio's Rs. 448 prepaid recharge plan currently offers 84 GBs of 4G data for 84 days but after the update this prepaid recharge plan will offer 126 GBs of data for 70 days. Earlier Jio offered daily limit of 1GB data under this plan, but after the revision, it will offer 1.5GB data.

 In March,The Bharathi Airtel telecom company has announced  Rs. 345 plan for prepaid users with 28GB of high-speed data for 28 days which is similar to the Jio Dhana Dhan Offer as those Jio customers are also getting 1GB data per day. While the daily FUP was set at 1GB per day,but a slight condidtion here is  users were able to use only 500MB of data during the day, while the remaining 500MB was allotted for the 12am to 6am period.Have a look at Jio New Offer plans here.

There are four recharges mentioned in the Airetl plans for 4G devices who are entering into Airtel network they are as follows Rs 399, Rs 244, Rs 349 and Rs 149.

Details of Airtel 4G Device Recharge plans (Rs 399, Rs 244, Rs 349 and Rs 149.):

Rs 399 /- Airtel plan:

Now, the Rs 399 (MRP can differ according to circle) this plan details goes like this on recharge of Rs 399/- the user will get unlimited local, STD Calls and 1 GB data per day. The validity is 70 days, which is still less than Jio’s,but good enough.

For 3G users the same recharge will have similar call benefits, but only 250MB data on offer.

Rs 244/- Airtel Plan:

The Rs 244 recharge also has unlimited local calling, free STD Airtel mobile calls, and 1 GB data per day. Again, and the same recharge for 3G/2G customers will get  50MB. The plan has a 70 day validity as well.

Rs 349/- Airtel Plan:

Now coming to 3rd plan which is Rs 349 plan the users will  get  unlimited local and STD Calls and 1 GB data per day for 28 days. Again for 3G/2G users, the benefit is reduced to 50 MB. 

Rs 149/- Airtel plan:

Fourth plan which is Rs 149 plan with 2 GB data, unlimited voice calls for a period of 28 days. For 3G users, the data benefit on this is 50 MB.

In April of this year, Airtel upgraded its plan on the recharge of  Rs. 345 recharge pack to offer double the data to 2GB per day without any restrictions on the timing that was previously offered so this is clearly showing to beat out its competitors which are offering 1GB data per day.

If we compare Jio and Airtel plans over the free calls and sms both are similarly equal but with a few changes they are offering unlimited calls and sms.For the Airtel customers who made calls beyond the 1,200 bundled minutes were charged at 30p per minute (for local and STD calls) which is not the case with Jio but 1200 bundled minutes are best enough for a normal customer. Moreover, And there is another saturation cap for Airtel  free calls per day at 300 minutes, after which the charges were 30p per minute. And one more thing to consider with Airtel calling more than 100 unique users in a week entailed call tariff of 30p per minute for the rest of the validity.And BSNL ultra speed Broadband services Download speed at 1 GBPS.

While if we look at Rs. 549 plan is still available for users to opt-in, the Rs. 345 plan has been revised to Rs. 349 per month and the daily limit  has been reduced to 1GB. The calling benefits are still the same as the original plans, and the day and night time restriction is no longer applicable in either.
